The Mid-American Stock Car Series has agreed to a television package that provides national, regional, and online exposure to the series and its sponsors for much of the 2013 season. Through a partnership with Sopwith Motorsports Television Productions of Indianapolis, the series will be televised in more than 50 million homes as part of “Sopwith Motorsports TV.”
"We're delighted to be on national television," said Mid-Am president Doug Strasburg. "We're especially happy to have dedicated regional coverage for Mid-American fans throughout our primary markets in Wisconsin and Illinois."
Sopwith Motorsports TV is a weekly motorsports program covering various forms of auto racing, including selected events from the Mid-American Stock Car Series. Now in its third year, Sopwith Motorsports TV airs on two national networks in addition to regional coverage and online coverage.
Nationally, viewers can watch Sopwith Motorsports TV on the TUFF TV network and the Untamed Sports TV network.
Regionally, Time Warner Cable subscribers in Wisconsin may watch Sopwith Motorsports TV on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel. Chicago residents will see the show on MyDealTV, cable channel 102.
Worldwide, race fans can watch Sopwith Motorsports TV on the internet at Motorsportworld.tv.
The following Mid-American races are scheduled to be televised on Sopwith Motorsports TV this season:
  • June 21, Grundy County
  • June 22, Jefferson Speedway
  • July 9, Milwaukee Mile
  • July 11, State Park Speedway
  • Sept 29, Rockford Speedway
  • Oct 5, LaCrosse Fairgrounds
Each episode of Sopwith Motorsports TV is 30 minutes in length. Sopwith's coverage of Mid-American races will be announced by host Rob Klepper (CBS, SPEED), pit reporter Olivia Pritchett (TUFF TV, America One) and driver analyst Stephen Cox (Velocity, ESPN2, NBC).
Five networks are carrying Sopwith Motorsports TV this season, and many of these networks utilize varying procedures on how episodes are aired. Races do not necessarily air in the order in which they occurred.
Time Warner Cable SportsChannel has chosen to release specific air times for each episode. The first episode they will air is the State Park Speedway event from July 11. It will air at the following times (all times CENTRAL for Time Warner):
