Round 10 of the 2012 ARCA Truck Series campaign is set for Kentucky Motor Speedway on Sunday, September 16th.
Stephen Cox and the Boschett Timepieces/Ed & Co. Racing Supplies Chevy will target another Top 5 finish in only the second race of their partnership. Cox's first ride with the team came two weeks ago at Ohio's Kil-Kare Speedway and produced a 7th place result. Crew chief Jerry Young returns to take charge of the effort. It is also his second event with the team.
Since it appears that Cox may finish the season in the bright blue #20 truck, the team's new Boschett Timepieces sponsor logo will be unveiled at the Kentucky event. Boschett Timepieces has been Cox's sponsor since midway through 2011.
Kentucky Motor Speedway is a paved, 3/8th's mile oval with tight turns and longer straightaways. “I'm looking forward to it,” Cox said. “I like the fast tracks. This track is still a bullring, but it's got real straightaways. You can step on the pedal here.”
Despite the new team and lack of experience working together, Young says not to count the Boschett Timepieces/Ed & Co. Racing Supplies Chevy out of contention. “We got faster every time we were on the race track,” Young said of their last outing at Kil-Kare Speedway, where the team raced from last place to 7th.
This weekend's race begins at 6pm at Kentucky Motor Speedway in Whitesville, west of Louisville.
