The Super Cup Stock Car Series season-opening race at Columbus Motor Speedway was rained out. The full field included 2011 Rookie of the Year Rob Jones, defending series champ Jody Harrison, race winners J. J. Pack, Jim Crabtree and Kevin Kromer, and many more notable short track stars. Director Joe Schmaling said the series would be in contact with Columbus Motor Speedway officials to investigate the possibility of re-scheduling the event in May.
