Since its inception in 1985, Sopwith Motorsports has driven Rolex GT, NASCAR stockers, sports cars, off-road 1400 class Trick Trucks and open wheel formula cars. The team has visited victory lane 13 times en route to two championship titles, as well as scoring 15 pole positions, 80 top five finishes and more than 100 top tens.
Sopwith has participated in nearly every discipline of the sport, racing on 37-degree banked asphalt ovals, dirt tracks, road and street courses, as well as desert and off-road racing.
Driving a Chris Mahurin-built Nissan sponsored by G-Force Racing Gear and ProShock Suspensions, Sopwith Motorsports regularly competes in the Championship Motorsports Association road racing series.
In 2010, the team will continue road racing at selected events including Infineon Raceway and Hallett Motor Racing Circuit, as well as driving off-road racing trucks in the Best in the Desert and TrophyLite series.
Several of our recent rides are below. To view more of Sopwith's racecars as far back as 1986, see our Facebook page.
