Pack Motorsports Finishes 9th at Motordrome

June 16, 2012

Struggling with fading brakes and handling issues, Pack Motorsports and driver Stephen Cox had to settle for a 9th place finish in round 3 of the Super Cup Stock Car Series at Pennsylvania's Motordrome Speedway on Friday night.

The team appeared to have a solid top five car during practice but slipped to 12th position in time trials. Cox was able to move up to 9th position in the first half of the race. He spent the second half of the race driving with no brakes and struggling to hold his position.

The race was a letdown after Pack Motorsports took a strong third place finish at Ona Speedway two weeks ago.

The Super Cup series next travels to Washington DC's Old Dominion Speedway on July 14, the home track of Pack Motorsports. Stephen Cox's car is sponsored by Boschett Timepieces and McGunegill Engines.
